I'm a doofus and somehow I managed to hit my passenger side mirror (95 GT) on the side of the garage door frame last night. The motor still works, but the lens broke and fell off, and the plastic frame for the mirror is cracked.
Where can I find these parts?
How much should they cost? I haven't called the dealer yet, but I've got a guess they don't have the part, or its going to cost an arm and a leg.
How much work will it be to replace this? I've heard that some people say they have special tools for removing the lens.

Hey I called a yard, and they said that the mirrors for 94-95 are different than 96-98. Is this true? I thought the only thing that changed (other than the 5.0 -> 4.6 v8) between 95 and 96 was the taillights.

They're not that different. The wires are swapped in the connector - up & down will move the mirrir left & right, and vice versa. The connector comes apart, and with a small screwdriver and a lot of patience, yoiu can swap them. I've done it twice so far.lparsons said:Hey I called a yard, and they said that the mirrors for 94-95 are different than 96-98. Is this true? If all you are looking for is the glass and the plastic plate it's mounted on, then call the dealer. I purchased one a few years ago and it was around 10.00. If the lens is broken you shouldn't need a special tool to remove the plastic holder. It will pop off pretty easily, now that the lens is gone
