if anyone has ever failed their emmissions test,what did you do to get it to pass?i have a 302 95gt with a vortech and usual motor mods.

Do you still have cats? What about the smog pump? I can pass with just high-flow cats and no smog pump, and I've got an e-cam with no tune on the computer.
So as long as you have cats and a decent tune, you should be good.

I failed pretty miserably one time due to the EGR being bypassed.... I passed by pullin g aton of timing (spout) and running guaranteed to pass...

This past year I did the same thing and passed with flying colors...

leaving the spout out during the test did the trick for me. but my motor is still stock though

if you're catless idk if you can pass an OBD I pipe sniffer test. Otherwise, I'd suggest running a can of seafoam or GTP through the tank a few days before you take it in to be tested.

You can put about a quart of ether in the tank. That usually does the trick.
