I have a Passport 8500X50 and LOVE it. Best money I ever spent. I can't believe they would put any less technology and performance in that model. Try www.radarbusters.com and see if they've reviewed this one.

...or hate them... they're way to big, just like the detector itself! Whether it catches in front, side or rear you'll slow down anyway...

Don't forget to purchase laser jammers and VEIL!! Laser detection is useless. You need to be able to jame/reduce their clocking distance. I'd go with the Blinder Extreme if you need a good laser jammer.

And no, they are not illegal, unless you live in VA, CA, or CO.
