Does anybody have a good pic of what the screen element below the pcv grommet looks like. I pulled my valve and grommet out and felt around but i didn't feel anything.

I found it easiest to use a metal pick to reach down into the PCV hole and pull the filter out if the lower intake is on the car. If not needle nose pliers will also work well. Here's what the screen looks like.

Yup, you can. Most carry them in stock all the time.

Tim is right on. Other methods of screen removal are a magnet or a long drywall screw. I use a pair or long needle nose pliers myself.

Good luck.
