I want to clean my PCV valve before my smog test on my 2001 Mustang GT.

Where is it?

Both valve covers have a place for one. The passenger side has a hose going to the throttle body. The driver side has a hose going to the air intake.

hey ive got an 03 gt, I cant seem to get my pcv valve off. I took the hose off, and its got a gray peice on top of the valve cover with a wire that connects to it. I tried pulling it off, then twisting it but it wont budge and at the same time i dont wanna break it... any ideas?

Do you even know what PVC locate ? or look like ? just take the intake off and its right under it, just pull stray up, ether go to dealer or get purelater for pvc.

as stated above, 1/4 turn/twist and it should come-out...now that wire going to it meens that it is a "heated" PCV valve, part # 2C5Z-6A666-AA @$45.00 but it can be replaced wth a "non" heated version, part # 2X4Z-6A666-AA for @$15.00

yea it turned out to be the heated one... once you kno which way to turn it out its no big deal... the guys at the parts department were clueless about the different pcv valve, but finally found it after 10 min and it was like 30 bucks...
