over 20 psi. opps, guess i better pay more attention to those 'minor' wastegate spring adjustments.
anyways, 15psi is plenty. 20 is unuseable on the street and just causes the converter to slip more anyways (15% at the track w/14psi).
i fixed my horrible stumbling problem by just plugging the power valve. sure, it cruises rich as hell, but part throttle accel and wot are now rock steady. drivablity is fine and the plugs aren't fouled. i'm running 80/82 for jets, but i can knock it down a few.
that's all folks for this year. a chromemoly driveshaft and a tighter converter are in store for the winter.
 
I can't imagine dude. Mine is getting scarier and scarier as I richen it up at 8 psi. I can't imagine 15 or 20 in a bigger motor.
Have you thought about plugging the PVCR's, and just opening them a little ?

How loud is the A1000
 
no, i like to keep things simple. you would not believe the difference plugging the pv made. previously, i could not keep the a/f consistant. part throttle (under boost) was lean as hell. not to mention that damn stumble that haunted me. ALL of that is fixed now. the only trade off being a rich cruise.

the a1000 is fine. i have it mounted on rubber pads. you really don't notice it while driving.

ps- since my 'incident' at the track, i've been driving around with an open dp (dumps by the bellhousing). it sounds like a freakin' semi under any kind on accel.

tell me about it. Mine dumps straight down there, too. Everyone says it's quite, but it's horrid to me. Either gonna oval shape some 3in and run it out the side behind the tire, or get a flomaster tailpipe and make it run to that. that was the original idea. I just don't want it to be loud to me. But I'm setting of car alarms again. Haven't done that in a while.

Gonna maybe drill the low speeds to get it to lean out on cruise ?
 
i've talked to kevin several times. he never once suggested that the pv was the culprit. he told me to disconnect the sec accel pump arm to try to get it lean enough to pop thru the carb. even with NO sec pump shot, it STILL stumbled.
i never gave the low speed air bleeds any thought. i'll have to read up on their function this winter.

Pretty simple theory. Basically the air bleeds do just that. Bleed off a little air actually entering venturi's. If you make the bleeds larger, less air, and lowers the signal to the carb. So by opening the low speeds a little, you will essentially make those 82's, 79's or less, depending on how large you make the airbleeds. Leave the high speeds the same, and you have the same fuel and signal at WOT.

thank you, but i can't take the fab credits. a local guy (ken cooper) worked with me and did most of the work.

sorry, i don't. i did that for my twinturboed '94gt (http://members.tripod.com/my2stangs/), but that was before i started a family. time is at too much of a premium now. i've been wanting to do that, so maybe, just maybe, i'll whip something up this winter.
