Why not just buy "side gapped" plugs? Or spend the time/money doing that and buy a mod or two? It doesn't seem time/cost effective, inless your racing for money and gotta try every little thing to squeeze out .01th or w/e.
I don't see how that would work. Spark (electricity) follows the path of least resistance, which in this case is to ground through the side electrode. There is nothing attracting the spark that would make it want to jump past the path to ground through the side electrode and through a hole into open space.. It's likely that any gains would be from indexing the plugs, 22% increase in anything (besides engine damage) because of holes in the side electrode is laughable....
