just put my motor together and i was just wondering how much oil did you guys use to fill up .i know its a 7 qt. pan and the filter is supposed to take 1 so wouldnt that make it total 8 quart fill up?

I only ran 6qts in mine, just because the oil pan capacity is 7qts does not meen you have to fill it up.

Mine takes 8 qts when I change my oil.
