I see these performance chips advertised that can increase HP up to 35 hp. Has anyone placed these chips in their car? What results have you experienced? Do they hurt the car in anyway? Do they void the warranty?

Thanks in advance

DO NOT use any kind of chip on your car, it's a scam. It is nothing more then a resister that tells the computer false info to get it to change the timing a little.
You want an SCT X3 tuner and a good tune written for your car by someplace like Brenspeed. Research is what you need, search for "tuner" or "CAI and tuner" and do a lot of reading and you will see this is the only way to go.

CAI is Cold Air Intake, they are recommended when using a tuner to get the most power output.

Lol, this is from their website...

Q: Will it void my vehicles warranty?
A: No. Manufactures cannot void warranty because of aftermarket parts.

Uh, yes they can, and will.

actually it fools the computer into enrichening the fuel mixture a bit like when the engine is cold and it's just started. They're .2 cents worth of resistor in a plastic box. If you look some more on fleabay you'll see guys advertising up to 300 hp and 100 mpg. It's all crap, it's almost criminal that fleabay lets those guys misrepresent like that. But then as long as fleabay gets their listing fee and a percentage of the paypal it's all good right ?

I dunno, maybe the blame falls on those dumg enough to believe a $29.95 part will do what others spend thousands to do ?
