SCT chips,and programmers from Superchips seems to be the best so far.They are continuously updating,everytime you turn your head.
But all manufactures pretty much do the samething.I went with a SCT chip,and have no issues.
I've been running my trucks with Superchips for the past 6-years. No problems what-so-ever. As long as you're prepared to run premium fuel I still say chips are one of the biggest bang for the buck available (especially if you're running an automatic!).
i got the sct and love it dont know what it did for me cause i put it in when i put a 2002gt motor in my 98 with long tubes but im sure it did something i also advanced the timing with it
Lemme edumicate you. Take out your EEC, prepare a list of all your mods and ship it out to Tim at Modular Powerhouse ASAP. Get a dyno run with an air/fuel pull first and ship that also.
The EEC adaptive tune uses no chip. It reprograms your EEC for the specs you want; a/f, gears; sensors; timing etc. And....it ADAPTS to future mods you do to the engine! It's less $$ than a chip & dyno tune.
If a handheld programmer is available for your car, go with that. You'll get more features and growth from a programmer than a chip. The only advantage a chip has over a programmer is the flip switch. You can switch tunes in a second while sitting at the stoplight. A programmer takes about 2 minutes to flash the EEC.
