Could I expect any real performance gain from say an Accufab plenum? I already hade a 70mm throttle body. My car is NA.

Dark Knight GT

I can't get it up......ok that didn't sound right.

Do a search. There has been multiple reviews on the plenums. They even have a sticky thread over plenums at Modular Depot.

I installed a C&L plenum and noticed minimal gains, but I knew that before I did it. The biggest differece I notice is midrange, and especially my 2-3 shift.

There have been 2 seperate plenum shoot outs on Modulardepot and they both show 5+ to 7+ HP from the accufab. I think you'll like it.

You'll notice a little more torque. Its definitley worth it though. I've got the C&L, but I think the Accufab is a little bit better. Toss in a MAF and you'll really feel a difference with the TB and plenum.

ACCUFAB all the way! Their TB and plenum are quality pieces, polished to a mirror finish. I also have a C&L MAF but fear I maybe running lean with this setup...need to get my SCT tuned...soon!

definitely. Even with just my C&L plenum and STOCK TB I could feel a good diffference 3k and above. Filled out the exhaust tone very well too..

Im running lean after my C&L plenum and Accufab T/B install, I also have the C&L MAF. Im planning on getting the Pro- M Optimizer to adjust the a/f ratio. Other then that I was very pleased with the results, my car pulls A LOT harder up top. You can actually feel it pulling from 3k- redline.

Wow! That's pretty freaky dude - I was just looking at the Pro-M Optimizer on their website this morning! I had wrote an email to Ken Bjonnes of www.modulardepot.com yesterday and got a response last night. Ken's '00 GT is featured in the June 2004 issue of 5.0 Mustangs and Super Fords - he ran an 11.72 at 116 with his not so trick N/A GT - pretty damn impressive. Anyway, he knows a thing or two about SCT programming, which is the chip I also run. He STRONGLY advised getting it dyno tuned...and quickly, as I am likely running extremely lean in the lower RPM range at WOT. I have had nothing but good things to say about the setup so far, but now I am worried sick. I guess all I was concerned about is if it started pinging, which it doesn't - never has. What indication are you getting that you are running lean? You must have been on the dyno...I guess. The more I learn, the more I find I need to learn.
I absolutely agree with your last two lines - it sure does pull like a monster from 3K to redline. Nice to have rear gears to get you out of the hole quickly and these pieces to pull you through 3rd and 4th gears! I am loving it, but rather frightened that I am gonna burn a piston or something. I may switch back to my OEM MAF until I can get it to my tuner and his dyno. Are you using a chip of any kind or any other tuning?

Back in the first part of 03 MMFF did a story on a Ported and polished plenum from B.A.R they showed a 10hp and 14lb/ft gain with the stock tb. Did anyone else see or remember this? Those numbers were from a stock 02 GT.

I am totally sure. I have the mag in hand as i type. It is the June 03 issue. It is the stock tb they opened up from 466.6 cfm at max valve lift to 518 cfm. If you order now you not only get the plenum but a tb that has been opened up to near 70mm for $160 shipped and your old tb.The phone number is 1-323-257-7515. I spoke to the owner about 3 weeks ago and he says they have sold many of these on the west coast (located in L.A.) might not be a bad investment.

I have that issue too. It was with a C&L Plenum and they tested the 70 and 75 mm TB.

I think everyone knows by now that the C&L MAF leans you out. That's how it is supposed to work. But have you ever heard from anyone where this has caused engine problems? Not me either.

No, it was a ported and polished stocker unit. This was a HUGE deal when it was first on the scene. There was about a 30 page locked thread on it that I cannot find.

No. The Jan or Feb issue of MM&FF tested the C&L Plenum and both the 75 mm and 75 mm TB's. I will dig it up.

This test was done on the STOCK PIECE that had been hogged out. Not only do I have the mag right in front of me I have spoken to the owner as I said before.

Your lean problem is not from your plenum, it is from your MAF. I have heard a lot of people have that problem.
