After using the search feature of the site... I think I am going to have my nephew take his mustang to a tuner in Salt Lake for a custom chip. I think they would be able to give him better service and advice on what is happening with his car.
He just had a dealer install the 345 fwhp gt40 crate motor, and has a loping idle, and is running super lean (crappy). I got some replies yesterday about recalibrating the maf, but it sounds like that is not always a fix and we still most likely have to bring it to a perfomance shop anyway.
The motor is not running a turbo or sc, so.. the stocker should be fine, right? The dealer tried to install a 90mm maf but the stocker is the best running option right now.
So, anybody on this board from SLC with any recommendations of a perfomance shop capable of burning a chip would be greatly appreciated!!
ps.. what would this typically cost???? I am guessing around $350-450.
That would be better than $350 for new MAF and $350 for the custom chip.
