Phenolic spacer w/ Eddy and stock hood????

I just got an Edelbrock intake from the classifieds and it came w/ a phenolic spacer. Will the intake clear my hood if I use the spacer???

My Eddy already rubs on one corner with no spacer. I think if you took the hood liner out it might work.

Stock hood and 3/8" spacer. Just removed the inner hood insulation.

Are you saying the 3/8 spacer cleared your hood when removing the inner hood insulation? If so then I'm game.
