PI intake, PI gaskets, RTV sealent.. try using the search button man, it will answer 98% of your questions, it also keeps the forums clean from the same questions over and over again...
sorry, i tried searching but didnt find exactly what i was looking for. So what do i need to seal up with the RTV sealent. Also, what is up with the throttle body and plenum spacers on ebay, do they really work?
i just swapped my intake this last week. if your old intake was leaking water be careful not to break the bolts that hold the thermostat housing to the head. that's what happened to me. i had to drill em out and install heli coils. that was the hardest part the rest is very easy.
Could you help me out, ive installed new lower intake gaskets before and it wasnt bad at all, but i was wondering where i need to use the gasket sealer at and how much, pictures would be great.
the two coolant passages.. in the front dont seal completely and if i remember right there are a fre other spots.. just hold your PI gaskets onto your heads and it will show exactly what you need to do.. post guys use alot of RTV to be sure it seals up right.. make sure it cures before yyou start it up.. if you spend some time searching you will find lots of threads about this.. also there is a picture showing exactly where you need to seal up.. maybe someone else will chime in with it...
did you notice any power gains? Could i gasket match the heads while there still on the motor, just put something in the hole to catch the shavings? Thanks
yeah you'll feel power. you wont be dissappointed. use the pi intake gaskets and don't forget to put RTV on the water ports. if you send me your e-mail i will send you the pics.
