Im in the process of getting Pi heads, and was wondering how much rwhp I should get? I have a 1998 GT 5 speed, o/r X with flows, MAC cai. I would be doing a complete swap, heads, cams, intake the works.

If you are going to use the factory cams with the heads and PI intake, around 40hp is a close bet. However if you want some extra power I would suggest a set of cams like VT stage 1's or the comp 262's or 270's.

You should get an extra 40rwhp from the PI swap.

Go with the VT stage 1 cams. Wouldn't go above stage 2.

Ok I know that the 4.6/5.4 PI heads are the same. I was wondering if the PI heads that came on the f-150's were the same as the stangs?

The 5.4 heads on the F-150's are the same as the Windsor Mustangs.

Performance wise they are the same, it's just easier and cheaper if you stick with the Romeos [your engine is a Romeo] as you can use your existing valve covers.

Hey Four Six, here's a dyno sheet after my PI swap. Other mods are in my sig (this was before the pulleys). DO IT.

The graph looks weird because the torque and horsepower numbers are on a different set of numbers. If you compare the TQ and HP at 5,250RPMs, you'll notice they're both about 250.
