Hissin, you said to clean it out but I don't know what I should clean. If you can find it in the pic, can you point it out please.

I cant make out much in the pics but I'm sure you see the parts. There's the fixed crescent part and the smaller contact on the inside. Clean the area inbetween the two parts (as you envision the dizzy mainshaft spinning, you can see the surfaces that would need to be clean as the two parts 'face' eachother).

I just kinda hose the whole sensor down myself. I've never tried the cotton swab idea but that's not a bad one.

I bet you're long done with this anyhow.

Good luck bud.

Yeah, hard to see there but just so you know you have to pull the shaft apart to get the sensor out if you are going to replace it. Not sure if that is your plan but now is gonna be the best time to do it. Should be easy to see though, it is the piece with I think two screw in it and wires coming out of the case.

I went ahead and rubbed everything down with alcohol. Didn't help any. I'll replace my wires tonight. I didn't want to do both at the same time. I didn't take that shaft out either, I just cleaned it on the sides and the black things, and the lil metal piece with 2 bolts toward the back of the dizzy.
