Picked up a 2011 GT Today.

So I've been looking around for a new car for a couple of months now, flipping back and forth between several different cars, not making any real headway. I decided that since I had the day off with nothing to do I'd head over to a Ford dealer and see if I could drive a new GT. One drive was all it took, I made an offer, signed the papers and drove the week old car right off the showroom floor.

2011 GT black on black leather, 6spd manual, 3.73 rear, performance brake package HIDs, security and the hood scoop/wing/stripe package(which has really grown on me since first seeing them).

Were the wing and hood separate add ons? I test drove one and it had the same wing and hood but also the side window louvers and brake duct on the rear fender and blackout cover on the rear for $1470. Its called the performance pkg. I would like the wing and hood only. If they were separate add ons how much were they?

That is a VERY nice car!! Congratulations on your new baby!!

You put a good tune and a CAI, I bet it would make that beast UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Its nice to see the 5.0 badge back, however, I'd prolly remove just like I did on my 92 LOL (me likes the sleeper look).

That's the California Special package in Canada, $2000. Mine came with the GT accessory package, the website lists it as $800.

I liked the front on the CS, but the side scoops/stripe and wheels killed it for me. You also couldn't get the brembo package with the CS. We have messed up packages here.

No cloth in the GT, only leather and leather with the stripe, no V6 performance package ect.

I don't know what the US equivalent to our options are.

Thx for posting the close up! Those rims are freaking beautiful! The brembo calipers look sharp too. I ordered mine w/ those rims & cannot wait to see it. Very, very nice!

Congrats man!

I ran across a 2011 GT for the first time today. I was in my '92 and when the light changed he hit it and was GONE. It was an automatic but that thing got down the road in a hurry!

i test drove the auto tranny, that thing just flew, lotts of power at any speed, gotta sell my 86 5.0 first.

I would love to see photos of the stripes, especially on the hood scoop and the rear wing.
I have a 2010 in candy red and wonder what the stripes would look like if I put them only on the hood scoop and rear wing.
