Best time was a 14.1 @ 97. I couldn't get any traction for the first 60 ft - first time racing, and first time pounding on the new 4.10s. Not to mention I was on street tires...

woohoo your ol lady goes to the track with you! I'm jealous, I need a track woman to ride shotgun on pre-lims.

If all that bothers you is the fact that the wing does not belong to a GT, then are you going to tell him to remove that chin spoiler, cobra wheels, scoops and grill delete too?

Nice! Definatly not bad at all. Your hooking better than I was when all I had was a K&N filter lol. I went a 14.4 @ 96.5.

And now a motivation on removing the wing....one guy put that wing on his stock/bolton 99+ GT and LOST 3MPH IN HIS 1/4 MILE TRAP SPEED! And alot of others started getting crackes in their trucklids due to the extreme downforce that the wing generates.

Essentially its just like throwing 200-300 Pounds of stereo equipment in your trunk when your up at speed. The faster you go, the more weight it throws down. You could probably sell it and pay for an 03-04 cobra spoiler.

But if you really like it, then thats all that matters...style is all about personal taste. Just as unique as peoples exhaust prefrences. Just thought though that I would throw out the facts on that wing...most people dont know about that. (A LONG while back I wanted an 00 R wing, but after hearing that, I decided against it)

I appreciate all of the opinions, but if I didn't like something on my car I changed it. Hence the new spoiler, grill delete, chin spoiler, rims, etc. It's all about personal preference when it comes to appearance.

As far as the functionality of the rear spoiler... Yup, it takes away from my 1/4 mile time. But I've been to the track once with this car & have had it for almost 5 years, so track numbers don't mean much to me yet. Ask me in another year & I may be singing another tune (with a wingless car, too), but for now I like the looks of the spoiler.

The wife had fun at the track & wants to drive next time. She's not allowed to until she learns the shift points with the new gears, though...

Looks like the track's hook another one. You can't help but be addicted the first time down the track. Nothing beats the adrenalin rush. good times for your first run too . Our first track date is this weekend. My wife wants to drive too . With the stroker it's a little different than it was and she's never drove it on the track before by herself.

If you got the Hood and Front Bumper to match you could keep the spoiler!
