could not believe it
There is a tire/rim place by my house called Performance Plus in Long Beach Ca. Well I bent a rim so bad that it could not hold air. So i was looking at some imitation bullits and the owner asks me "what kinda car do you have" I tell him and then he takes me to the back of the shop and shows me these brand new in the box and quotes me 99.00. It turns out that he got them from ford who was not happy with the exact tone of the color so they did not want to put them on the mustangs. So to get rid of them they offloaded them to his shop for dirt cheep. Yes they are 17x8 and they have the Ford emblem stamped in the metal on the inside of the rim. Silver is the only color they had but i was very happy when I saw them and he told me the price. Plus I always see black or crome and I thought silver was pretty unique.

EDIT: Look at the weight transfer on a stock suspension and a 3000rpm drop with stock gears.
BTW, what do you run in the 1/4. Ive got a couple of mods goin in this next few weeks and my combo will be similar to yours.
