And to think....it only takes an engine swap, more mods, and a race against a stock LS2.

no, it requires an engine swap and the right mods to beat a 4000lb LS.

there is more to cars then engines Bill. Quit being so myopic in your views once in a while. BTw how is the balance on that super nose heavy stang. What does it do well besides go fast at WOT in a straight line(and make excuses for your missing torque vct blah.)

with 165 r -15 front tires, it goes straight really well. and it stops reasonably well when it's dry. aside from that it does nothing well. WOT 50 mph power brakes with white smoked rear tires is it's only function. besides beat LS chevy's when finished.

Reading this thread was a good time!!
You guys crack me up.

Congrats on the new ride! Very nice!
You should make your first mods a set of Long tube headers and a CAI.
Unlike the fords, the LS will respond very well to the CAI. If you already have a magnaflow catback do not scrap it for flowmaster garbage. You will regret it.

CAI, Headers, Cam, drag bags (IRS Wheelhop solution)....then nickel and dime whatever other things you want to do.
For more idea's check out www.BuckeyeGoats.com or www.LS1GTO.com both are great resources of info.

Thanks! I'm on ls1gto under the same screen name. It's the best resource I have found so far.

Goats are so much more user friendly. Stangs are a bit easier on the pocket book. Both are a lot of fun. Hence why I got them both. Two completely different rides though.
