pinion yoke

There is more than one choice here, If you use the Versailles yoke (flange really) you'll need the other part that seats the U joint. Or use any std 9" pinion yoke, you can adapt these to just about any other size joint,(to fit your driveshaft) using a combination U joint.

so do you recommend keeping what is there or replacing it with something more compatible. The entire rear-end is apart right now so if you suggest changing it I'm gonna haha. I just dont know with all the different numbers etc what the heck I need.

If you have the companion flange to the pinion flange, you can use these, if they don't put your driveshaft too long. If they do, then just swap to a std 9" pinion yoke. I had to change that too in my Comet swap, the one that came off the Bronco "chunk" had one of the u joint cap "ears" broken off. I just went to a freinds junkyard and swapped it for a better one off another 4wd truck.

Im just browsin around ebay at new pinion yokes. I just dont know. There are different numbers like 3133 and all these. I am having a custome driveshaft made most likely as I'm putting a T-5 behind my windsor so I dont know what the best setup is.

You can get em for 1330 joints or 1350 joints. Might be other versions as well. These two are the most common joints for a Ford. There are combination joints that allow you to fit 1310 driveshafts to 1330 or 1350 yokes, or 1330 to 1350, and other combinations as well. No matter what you choose, there's always a way to mate the shaft to the yokes. All you got to do is the research, and/or have a local parts house that'll let you dig around the parts room.:D :nice: I've been lucky in this regard, I've had at least two local parts houses I've done business with in the past 30 years, I've earned their trust to where I just go in back, find what I want and toss it on the counter and let em do the rest. This lets em take care of the other customers too. :rlaugh:

so like what about either of these

Sorry for being a noob at this haha but I just wanna get it right.

I just bought a richmond ring gear 3.70's and I read they are the 28 spline so I know I need that. The shop thats building the rear-end is buying a master rebuild kit for it and I just want to choose a new yoke for an easier swap later down the road.

The third one, the one for 1350 U joints. The 1st? No, I wouldn't buy a used one off ebay, these aren't that hard to find in a junkyard as far as 9" pinion yokes. The 1310 style maybe, but why limit yourself to smaller joints ?
