Engine Piston surface damage

So, a piece of small metal was sucked in through my intake and got into the cylinder. I pulled the head off and there isn't any scoring in the cylinder, the valves are fine, no leaking, the rings are fine, nonleaking, but the piston surface was beat up. See pic. Thoughts on how I should proceed?
