PITA Fuel Pressure Gauge

well i got a brand new BBK fuel pressue gauge off ebay total was 36.00 i tryed to install it today and the damn thing kept leaking where the gauge goes onto the brass thing. I finially got so pissed off at the stupid thing I put it in my vise lol now its in the trash

So much for easy install on a good priced part

did you try using any teflon tape or some sort of thread sealer on it?

shoulda used teflon tape........lol

that woulda got rid of the leak....

damn paper says you don't need it then i couldn't get the stupid thing apart to put tape on it

never use teflon tape with fuel components! Teflon Paste is your friend.

The problem with tape is that it dissolves and falls apart in fuel and can clog your fuel system.

lol good thing i couldn't find the tape and used the bottle of paste stuff to fut the old one back in

thats why you dont use a ton of teflon tape and only put it on the top 1/2 of the part that screws in. my uncle has been using teflon for all of his connections since way back in the day. never had any problems. ill always use it but some peopel might stop
