please god help me

i installed a c&l cold air intake on my 05 stang. i am having serious problems. my car is stalling, i hit the gas and i go no where i need help everyting is installed correctly all sensors are pluged in and tight cant find any vaccum leaks . any ideas

Does the 05+ car need a tune for the CAI? I have heard that they do or they go into safe mode?

did you unhook the battery to clear the cpu. did you install the mass airflow sensor right? have you reinstalled the stock airbox to see if it runs the same?
well have you? if you just install a cai without clearing the cpu. the sudden rush of better airflow may freak out the confuser hense the confusion. hope this helps good luck.

yes it does. Only the K&N and the AFE do not need a retune. But you still need to disconnect the battery before you use them so the computer relearns the AF on these units.

Yeah... the C&L will make your car barely run if you haven't installed a tune specifically for it. That caveat is all over C&L's literature. I suggest you contact Doug at http://www.bamachips.com/ or Lideo of Alternative Auto very quickly and order an SCT X-cal 2. They both have some of the best tunes in the business. Doug's tunes are even mentioned on C&L's website.
