I just put 2004 GT head swap kit on my 98 and now when I go to start it just gives me one loud click. Like the starter only it seems to me like it is louder. Been working on this SOB for a while and am frustrated. Can anyone help.
try beating the crap out of your starter with a pry bar or something, then try and start is. if that doesnt work hit it while someone crankes it. BTW make sure your battery has enough juice.

I second the battery idea. When I did mine it clicked also and I thought my motor was frozen but we then jumped it and it started to breathe. Turns out that my battery was toast and a new optima red top has been turning it over fine for about a year now. Good luck!
