i have my transmission out on the floor beside the car...

im trying to get the top plate off... but i cant do it... ive unbolted all the bolts on the top, and it slides back and forth so far but it looks like i have to pull that shaft out ...

im trying to replace a broken or bent fork, second gear wont go in 90% of the time, so im guessing it either needs to be adjusted or replaced... either way i cant get this damn plate off.... somebody help!!!

a diagram would be real nice

i didnt include the specs sorry...

T5, for a 94 GT 5.0

The linkage is attached to the top plate, and you'll have to remove the tailshaft housing IIRC. Once it's loose, you slide it sideways (towards the driver side, again IIRC) and up.

if you want i have a adobe formatted rebuild manual on the computer here. iw ould send it to you, it gives you all the hints on dissasembly etc.

You can also find full specs from tremic's site, which is what i've done for rebuilding mine, pretty specific directions.
