Anyone know how bad it is to have a C&L plenum and 1/2" intake spacer? I finally got a set of stock intake bolts so I can take out the spacer but does it really make a difference? Isn't more better?
I may be going to Capitol Raceway tomorrow for test and tune.

well there was a guy on here a few weeks ago having a idling problem & come to find out he had a spacer & a c&L plenum. he took the spacer off & viola...... no more idle problem. so i wouldn't do it, cause the plenums have a built in spacer so there is really no need for it :nice:

I do have an idle problem with the AC on
Rises to 1000, drops to 500, is happy at 700, then repeats.

Ok, I'll take it out. I know C&L recommends not having it, but more should be better?

Oh well. Thanks.

yup.... exactly what that guy was having a problem with. ahhh...... another happy customer, have a nice day & come back soon :jester:

Oh, so you were all talking about the one that Steeda sells? nevermind then, don't need it or want it.
yea in JonJon's case, he got a spacer AND the C & L Plenum and installed both. Then he found out he didn't need one. So yea, don't waste your money :)

Well I didn't make it to the track today because
#1 : Left bar early (2am) because friend was passed out  Told him to stop but he wouldn't. I was DD. Hot friend's 21st :( Then didn't sleep till like 6 because he was puking all night

#2 : Track opens at 11. And costs $20.

#3 : Still had intake spacer on.

Well I got the spacer off today, I don't know if the idle is better until I drive her for a few days. At first the idle had smoothed out when I reset the comp (after TB) but it came back after a few days of driving. I'll post back in a few days if it worked or not. Car feels better though  My SOTP sucks but I'd say she is driving better now.

Really that's cool I'm happy he resolved the idling problem! I think the
Intake spacer is a worthless mod in my opnion in terms of perfomance.I couldn't find the thread but, I was reading a thread on Stangnet where
someone already had the C&L Plenum and than added a intake spacer
and it hurt performace the person said  I think the intake spacer
is a waste of dough that could be spent somewhere else.
