If I get the Accufab Upper Intake Plenum... is there a way to use the stock "pony" plate rather than the accufab that comes on the plenum??

Absolutely not! I have the Accufab, which is by far the most "pretty" of the plenum line-up, and the top of the plenum is smooth. There is no where to attachthe stock plate on the Accufab.

You will love the Accufab though much better. It looks awesome when you pop the hood, like a chrome look. Also gives a nice little performance gain helping the air intake bottleneck! Give it a shot, you wont look back.

Which looks MUCH better than the pot metal looking competitors! Also nets most HP after testing all others.

He said it LOOKED the best. It didn't PERFORM the best. I thought it was the best looking plenum in the test, but that's not getting HP. You might as well port your stock plenum for the amount of HP you are going to get out of your Trick Flow.

It's also more than twice as expensive as the TrickFlow. Is 3 or 4 hp extra worth twice the $$??? Not for me. $400+ for the hp it gives is not a good deal.

I am considering the trickflow as well...for the price...why pay twice as much for like 2hp??
However, the accufab did perform much better...the power gian kicks in much earlier, and it gives the most gain..I would like to find a used accufab plenum to get the cost down! ;-)
nebody wanting to sell one???

Careful toughguy. You say $400, thats for the THROTTLE BODY ALSO. You better mind your P's and Q's.... You can get just the Accu. plenum for 239$. Now it is MUCH better looking and only 100 more than the pot metal. Definately worth it. Dont you think little chum??

$239 for a few ponies seems a lil steep to me...I would like to find a used one, or wait around for this plenum craze to pass and find a better price.

Although $239 seems steep for a few extra HP....when you are trying to accomplish the best time on bolt ons and a reasonable gear you can, everything counts!

If you took the money to buy a premium car, why put cheap or used parts back on it??? Dont understand that. But yeh, great, get cheap parts and youll have a nice T-body whistle that will drive you crazy. My friend bought the BBK T-Body and that thing had a hyperannoying high pitched whistle everytime you hit the gas...... My Accufab has no whistle and its pretty too.

Why can't people see the beauty and performance of the Accufab? Is it really that much more money? I agree with RobG860 - why would you want to put so-so parts on your pride and joy? I have the Accufab Plenum and 70mm TB...their quality shows just holding the pieces in your hands. Nice stuff. I guess I just don't believe that 'something is better than nothing' - I'd rather keep it stock than put crap on it. But this is just me...do whatever you want.
Oh, and yeah you can put the running horse from the stock plenum on the Accufab. On the OEM plenum it just attaches with 2 sided sticky foam tape. Peel it carefully, then reattach to the Accufab. And it'll look like crap...
Again, just my 2 cents...

You can take the stock horse off of the stock plenum or you can order a new one and get some silicon RTV. Put some silicon onto the bottom of the horse and place it on the middle of the accufab plenum and center it. Give it some pressure and wipe off the excess that squeezes out the sides and let it dry. It actually looks pretty good and people think its stock.

The reason that I did it is because cops in my area are pulling any sports/ muscle/rice cars they can and writing them tickets for moddifing their cars.
