im looking for step by step instructions. anyone have them? how long should the install be? any strange things that might happen w/ idle that i should be aware of/adjust?
wow, you hit the nail on the head. that is the only trouble i ran into, a couple of extremely tight screws on the TPS. other than that, the install went great! took roughly an hour. car really picked up some extra ponies, and it seems to really breath good beyond 3k. i did notice a strange "gasping for air" sound when i blip the throttle though. is that normal? it sounds almost asmatic (sp?)scalder said:Nothing to worry about. It's a very straight forward install Derek. You may have some problems though removing the TPS sensor when you transfer it from the stock plenum to the new one....
:OT: , but if the pics were on a RAID array, why are they still missing? In a RAID configuration (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks), the data is written over multiple drives. Even with RAID level 1, the simpliest RAID config, the data is mirrored on two different drives.csledd said:I would've posted the pictures from my install, but unfortunately my hard drive that they were on crashed (it was a raid drive).
The install is pretty simple, the only problem I had is that the next day I had my car on a dyno getting a tune and the TPS broke. The spring inside just seemed to die. A loud humming noise started to arise from the engine right after the install. I still dunno what it's from, maybe the IAC.

clarkjr said:You will probably want to get a new EGR gasket (about $1.00) before you start. The old one may come off fine or it may come off in pieces. About the TPS screws... I use a long screwdrive and attach vice grips to the handle. Then I get a buddy to push forward on the handle while I slowly turn the vice grips. Forward pressure helps keep the screw heads from strippping.

clarkjr said:Maybe it should but it probably will not. I know C&L does not include one nor does MAC or Trick Flow. Not sure about the others and my info is about a year old which is the last time I handled these.
GDawg said:My C&L did not include one. I had to buy it seperately.
And if you have "needlenose vice-grips" you don't need the screw driver. You can work the TPS screws out with the vice-grips alone.
