I am looking to buy plug wires for my 98 Mustang GT but none of the dam# auto part stores carry them in stock. I am thinking about ordering the steeda wires. Should I order them or just by some generic ones? Or anyone have any links of brands they would recommend? And what the difference between standard and performance plug wires would be?

The conductor thickness (or gauge) is what drives what would be best. Generally 9mm wires are good for most applications. Most of the Mustang sites sell good sets precut to fit. I'd be leary of paying extra for a "name" since they are all about the same in quality. And don't knock the auto parts stores products...some carry decent brands. Just make sure the package says Made in the USA. The last suggestion is just me.

I just went ahead and ordered the more expensive autolite plugs from the local dealer. I couldnt justify spending an extra $50 for plug wires for steeda....:-/
