I've used Pertronix Ignitor in the past and it worked very well. The installation was also very simple.

Ditto on the Pertronix. It was easy to install and works very well.

One more for the Pertronix. I have the Pertronix 2 and I swear, if you can find the sharp end of a screwdriver, you can install it in under an hour. The hardest part is finding the end of the pink resistor wire to connect it to, and that took a whopping 10 minutes.

the pertronix is good, as is the crane xr-700(i have that on my 64 falcon), but i started with a duraspark distributor and hooked it to a chrysler ignition box and added an msd blaster 3 coil for my 66 falcon. it works great.

Just to convert, I love my Pertronix Ignitor II setup. Problem is it relies on the stock distributor, so make sure it isn't worn and has the proper curve/springs.

However for a race application, or anything high performance I wouldn't even think about running a setup less than what I have now. Mallory Comp 32 S/S billet distributor with an MSD Digital 6 Plus box and a matching big Mallory coil. I get spark to 7k without a problem, and the car keeps pulling.

i have a mallory unilite conversion in my stock dizzy, been there for almost 20 years and no problems other than a couple of bad modules due to a manufacturing defect back in the early 90's. that problem has since been corrected and they don't have a problem with the modules any more. the one that's ine the car currently has been there for over 15 years now.

the accel conversion kit is teh exact same kit as the mallory but much less expensive because of the accel name rather mallory, they are both owned by mr. gasket and every single component of teh kit is identical as far as i can tell.

the pertronix is good as well.

I've had the same Pertronix unit through 2 engines and several years without any problems (actually I forgot to hook up the ground wire when going from the small-block to the big-block, but after 5 min I found the mistake). If you're converting from points, it's the easiest and cheepest. There's always bidder and better, it just depends what you're looking for and how much you want to spend.

Does anyone know the gap for the control module to the magnetic rotor? I looked on pertronix sight for instructions but in the instructions they didnt have it listed. I need to check mine and dont know what it should be. This is the original Pertonix I setup.

I just use the plastic gauge they included. Couldn't tell you the gap though. I did make sure I kept that plastic though. I have no way to measure it right now. sorry
