is it safe to sand blasting the alternator? is there a way to do it?

I sanded mine with a "mouse" sander, the results were great. As for sandblasting a guy who knows how should have no problems......I would blast all areas with compressed air after, that should prevent any problems....I think. I am sure this has been done before with fine results.

wouldn't the internal be messed up if you sand blast it then bake it?

yea... I wouldnt even sand it with the internals still in it.

that would look awesome ... anyone got any pics of the finished product?? DEFINITELY disassemble it first. The insides would get SO contaminated with the pieces of particulate that it'd never work right again.
