What should I do with it

Today I was given a 1988 TurboCoupe 4cyl, minus turbo and intercooler. Now I have to figure out what to do with it. Gimme some Ideas.

yeah but what the hell am I going to put it in?!?!?!?
After I saw Paul's ranger at the SN meet, I am kinda leaning that way. I have no computer or harness, so if I go EFI I was thinking along the lines of an el cheapo megasquirt system....

I also have a 74 Comet (maverick) with a C4 it would go nicely in.

can you say sleeper......

and I can't seem to shake how cool a M112 would look stuck on that beast.

........and how it would sound

I like the falcon, but with a turbo instead of the blower.

Get a 4 banger notch from 87-90 and put the whole drivetrain in it. Get another IHI turbo like it had (which can be found super cheap vs a T3). Do a front mount intercooler. Put the ECM in and swap the couple of pins (I can help you with this, its a piece of cake).

Turn the boost up to 18 psi, put the timing at 13* intial, and enjoy your 30 mpg getting 13 second commuter car.

BTW, I have a pic of mine that I did just that with in my sig.

I know how great these engines are. I had an 88 TC 5sp I used to run 21 lbs in on the street. It was great for surprising the imports and a few ls1s.

I was thinking of something a little more whack though.... maybe a pinto...hmmm

I do need a daily driver though...

Hotrod did a feature on a guy that ran 10s in a pinto and 30 lbs boost on stock internals. he says the stock guts are the best you can buy.

Edit: here's a linkhttp://pintopage.fordpinto.com/Poisonous%20Pinto.htm

Hey McFly I love your wheel setup on the rear of your car, do you mind telling me what setup that is and what size tires they are? Do you have any rubbing probs?

I guess I will be McFly today, I just hope the real McFly doesnt get angry.

Anyway to answer your question they are 15x8 Draglites (I honestly dont remember the backspace I have had them so long) with 275-50-15 MT ET street radials with stock length axles and drums. The springs are just cut GT springs. They dont rub at all. But that is because I beat the crap out of the inner fenders, rolled the lips about as much as you can without hurting something, and I even had to put a little dent in each tailpipe.
But it was all worth it. BTW thanks for the compliment.

did ford ever make a fwd car that had a 2.3 or 2.0 in it? It would be cool to mount the engine/transaxle in the back of an escort:Teh-Win:
