I have the pony door panel kit, but don't know what the little springs are for.

They are too small to fit in the tit on the back of the Eschuton and too big to fit in the hole in the door panel.

My guess is they are to prevent the eschuton from ratling loose, but the plastic/rubber washer does a good job at that.

I've had the panels installed for a year and no problems.

I was just curious if any one else had the same issue.

I got the kit from Mustangs Unlimited.

No one in the world knows where this spring goes. When I installed my pony interior I asked the same question, called many parts centers and looked in my assembly manuals and nothing.
I tryed to install it were the pin is on the escutcheon but then it forced it out and rubbed against the handle. So I wrote it off as a *** piece of *****.

Arent those like the springs that push the exterior door handle button back out?.. or have I been smoking crack again?... hmm... actually, that kit probably doesnt even relate to the exterior handle I'd imagine.. I dunna, maybe you just glue'm somewhere for decoration.
