The GF and I were on a road trip down to SoCal last week, and we got a great shot of 3 S197 red convertibles in a row. The first two looked rented, the third I pulled over to let get in line for this shot and it was a different red, brighter, looked like the owner owned it. Yeah, I know, I'm not in my mustang, but the '70 convertible doesn't exactly take bikes on a roof rack.
What a beautiful sight though. I tried to get a Hertz Shelby for at least part of the trip, but all booked up until September.
Plus, they suggested that you may have to be flying in to rent one of those. Not sure on that, would love move info. Anyway, enjoy:
