B. if it was a cop videotaping it (like it sounded like in the video) why couldnt he do something other than sit on the opposite side of the wall and watch it all go down... i dont mean he should have stood there in traffic and got run over, but damn

It sounded like a cop doing a report. I have scene more and more cops doing this kind of thing, instead of doing anything about anything, they just walk around with a video camera. However, I wouldn't step in that street either, so I can't say.

Notice.. that all wrecked cars are FORDs.

Really though... what was up with that van? Looks kind of like insurance fraud.

It looks like to me the van is parked on the side of the road but barely edged out into a lane. How the mustang hit him dead on I am not sure. I don't know why everybody else couldn't slow down though, how hard is it to see a car stopped in the middle of the road?

I just saw this today on Spike TV. Apparently the guy filiming it was a reporter out there for another story who just happened to at the right place at the wrong (or maybe right) time. He tried to flash his camera lights at oncoming cars and called 911 to get the cops to respond but they didn't get there in time to stop the carnage.

Are people that f******g stupid that they dont see brake lights and non moving cars in front of them. There were cones up which usually indicates some kind of road work or reason for lanes to be down. Usually when this happens people slow down, but it appears these people didnt even try to slow down or look in front of them. Scares me to think there are that many people out there who dont watch down the road enough to notice non moving cars...
