I first searched the forums with no luck in finding an answer, I have an 87' GT AOD. When I first start the car up, runs fine except for a slight surge after car reaches 130* ( drops to like 500 rpms for about 30 seconds and goes back up to 850-900). Anyway, when the car is warm and I turn it off (Usually happens when i get gas), when I turn the car back on idle is normal but when I hit 20-30 mph, car hesitates bad and at about 30-35 mph, I hear a popping noise a couple of times from the rear drivers side, than it clears up and the car is fine, idle is normal and no hesitation. Im thinking this is backfire but wouldn't it happen more often, like when i first start the car?
