PORS 15 or underbody coating??

I have some kind of sticky black substance on my undercarrage, only in the rear though. It's probably a mix of old under coating and road tar. Will this degreaser work on that?, or do i have to remove that?

Also do you have to use por15 all at once, or can you do sections at a time? Some produducts will not adhere to themselves once they are dry. I

I used Por-15 to do the trunk and wheel wells on my 73 Mach. Great stuff, but be warned, the process is time consuming. Another great product which will remove old tar-like undercoating is Peelaway-7.

You will need a tar remover. Most auto stores carry this.

POR-15 adheres to itself very well. If you expect a problem for some reason a light scuff with scotchbrite will set the surface right for a feather of another section.

For application, it can be brushed, sprayed, rolled, dipped, take your pick. We spray it ourselves, but we do whole cars ar once. For small areas we use a 2" brush.

Well no, not really.. Exit 150 on I-30 east. It takes me exactly 2 hours to get to the shop from Grand Prairie. It's 107 miles from G.P. about 70-80 miles I'd guess from 635/30 on the East side. I can make it in just over 1 hour Or, we can ship in one day. Or If you don't mind waiting I can bring some to the homestead and you can pick up in Grand Praire.. Depending on your location your still an hours away Dallas is a big city...

No I live in GP, Our shop is east of Dallas.... But most times I have a pretty good asortment here I use personaly.

Damn man good info. Im soo happy I thouhgt my notch needed alot of rust work but I guess not. Im gonna be making a big order when my taxes come in. I need to do 3 cars lol a 73 fastback a 88hatch and my 91 notch. Thanks for the info. I maybe asking u ?'s thought the processs if thats ok

Im soo happy. I was worried that I would have to eventually junk my Calypso Green notch and my Hatch, But things are lookin up. This **** seems almost too good to be true. thank god for technology lol

You can also order online direct from the manufacturer. Their shipping speed is very impressive. Here in the northeast, It arrives the day after I order.

I think it's important to note that "Por-15" (www.por15.com) is the manufacturer. "Por-15 Depot" (www.stoprust.net) is a distributor.

I should also note that there is another product, which I have not personally used, but have heard others swear by: Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator

As an unbiased consumer, I think either one will yield good results.

The Tar remover sold at auto stores can't hold a candle to Peelaway-7. To find this stuff in your area, contact the manufacturer to get names of local distributors.
