extremely different - your saving alot of weight up front first of all (if aftermarkets are ALUMINUM) and your never gonna get the same flow out of those cast E7's as you will out of a set of Eddy RPM's or TF Twisted Wedges, or AFR's - do it right ONCE - go w/ aftermarket heads - and get a cam while your in there, cams are cheap - and you don't wanna hve to tear your motor apart more than once

I wouldn't spend my money on them although if you get them from PowerHeads or from Thumper they flow more than GT40 and GT40Ps. I'd go aluminum.

If you are going through that much trouble you might as well buy some new Al heads.

It really depends on your goals: If you are doing a basic build and you would like some extra grunt, than by all means a set of ported stockers are probalby what you are looking for

If you want a car that is both, lighter and fast than maybe aluminum heads are for you.

My thing is this: When you open the hood, the car can look stock and still run like a raped ape if you set it up properly. You would still be able to fool a ton of people and compete in the stock classes. But again, it's up to you and your goals.

If you need help making your decisions you can ask these guys:

www.thumperoforangepark.com
www.tmossporting.com

They are both members of Stangnet and very good people to work with.

I feel after you make a killer deal on USED alum heads.. the machine work to make them up to par and useable, will always put the price back up!! in-expensive?? GT40s!!
More money.. ported E7s !! More money ported GT40s.. then alum. Heads!! but hey...its

Be realistic here, it's gonna happen time and time again.. you don't need aluminum heads to have fun!
