Is this the best buffer everyone is talking about? It only has a 6" pad. Ive seen 7" ones. Where is the cheapest one I can get?

If you have a local Lowes store they usually have them about the same price maybe a little cheaper.

Is this an orbital buffer? I thought it was a rotary.

Yes the PC 7424 is an random orbital buffer. It is safe for beginners but still gives fantastic results! You can check Lowe's or coastal tools.
Lowe's has the PC7336sp which is sold as a wood sander. You will need to remove the sanding disk and replace it with a hook and loop backing plate to use different pads for different polishing needs.
Heres a link to the backing plate and 3 polishing pads.PC Backing plate and Pads Use the Orange pad only for oxidized paint or deep scratches. The whoite is best for spider webbing and swirl mark remover. The finishing pad is the black one. This is great for final poishing and for applying a wax or sealant.
