position of rear shocks

my rear shocks haves PO syndrome. Does anyone have pictures of how and where the rear shocks should be mounted. Do they both just go forward into a hole near the rear seat belt holes, or does one go forward and the other backward (stagger)?

Don't know about the 65s but later models had both. Staggered on the models with competition suspension and both to the front on standard suspension models.

You should have access holes in your trunk. The bottoms just mount on the spring bracket.

They both get installed forward tipped and attach in the mount points up behind the rear seat (in coupes) or under the rear part of the fold down (in Fastbacks)
