Possible fuel leak?

For more information on the problem and to help me with it check out my other post .

I mentioned that after I shut off the car I notice a sound a fluid running somewhere toward the back of the oil pan. I am also getting about 5 mpg less than normal. Any chance that the fluid I hear leaking is fuel and where would you guess it is?

Check my other post too, so many problems!

When my stang developed a fuel leak, I could smell it... while driving, with the vent on, and in the engine bay. If you are leaking fuel, I would expect that you would smell it and might even see it under the car. I would wonder if your fuel is "draining back into the tank" when you shut off the car. Usually, the fuel pressure would be held in the line for several hours or days. I can't gather much of a guess... if you are leaking fuel, it is at:
the tank, the fill nozzle, the fuel filter behind the tank, somewhere along the line under the car, the fuel regulator, or at the injectors. Not much hidden so you should be able to smell or see if you are leaking fuel. Sorry not much help..
