i tired looking into search for past threads about white smoke coming out of the exhaust. I'm not sure if it's simply because its cold and it should come out almost all the time. Usually when i come to a stoplight I will see quite a bit of white smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe even when really warmed up. It's cold over here in Philly and you can see what exhaust modifications I've done. What can it be? Thanks for your help guys.

im thinking normal.

i have stock exhaust with spintech side mufflers dumped at the side, and when i stop in the morning, you can see the exhaust steam come up and around the side of the car. i love it. and thats stock restricted cali catalytic exhaust, i could only imagine a free flowing no cats exhaust moving more air that is hotter coming into cold climate and the steam it must make.

Normal when its cold and offroad pipe. At least mine does the same thing with the prochamber and didn't really notice with the stock hpipe. I don't have any problems either @100k. During warmer weather, though, you should not see smoke after up to operating temp.

Is it smoke or just white air like when you breath and its cold. It's been about 20's here and my car has white "smoke" coming out the tailpipes, never did it before so I'm assuming its just because of cold air and the changes in the exhaust temps as it hits the air like explained above.

You run too lean you'll know it, because it'll be pinging.

Yea I always though because I was breathing so freely it came out in a white smoke. It's pretty thick though, but it does add a nice effect when it's reved. Thanks guys

put your hand in the smoke, if it feels moist, it's just water vapor and it's normal. if not, you may be running lean.

the average engine spits out 1 gallon of water for every 1 gallon of gas it burns.
