I spy something in that garage. How bout pics of how that one sits!
BTW ...... I like those covers. Nice job! I just painted my pinch welds black, cause it looked too unfinished with the dull body color paint!

Mine is chilling beside my 66 coupe that I'm resto-modding (slowly)
The 86 needs some TLC. I've got newer doors and fenders to install, and I plan to replace the door/body moldings now that LMR has repros available
ready for it to cool off a bit so I can get to work.

This is what she looks like... except for the new sneakers which look like any other sneakers at this distance...

This is what I've reduced the engine compartment to so far:

A little paint because:

First goal is complete, I got the car to drivable condition and it goes for safety inspection next Thurs. Contrary to popular belief it is not abysmal to drive with that engine... some day maybe I swap it out but my DD has almost thrice the power. lol The entire point of this thing is to take an occasional relaxing drive in the country with the wife... once she stops thinking the car is stupid because of how much work I've put into it...

What I've replaced to-date in approximate chronological order: Battery, Convertible top, ignition switch, horn button pad, ignition, AIT, plugs, wires, air filter, fuel pump relay, rotors, pads, front wheel bearings, front fuel lines, brake master, EGR block off plate, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, fuel sender, removed the AC compressor and bracket, Hurst Billet Shifter (my pièce de résistance), tires, driver rear quarter window motor... and I got shocks and swaybar hardware sitting in the trunk ready to be replaced... and I've got a custom third brake light in the works to replace the one I took off of the lid when I stripped off the luggage rack.

Im glad to see I’m not alone. Wifey calls my car stupid everyday. She won’t drive with me. Says it’s embarrassing. Mid/life crisis. HahahHa
They will never understand especially with packages of parts showing up all the time. Hahaha enjoy the car!

Hey Jersey Joe. Glad to hear you got through a bout with COVID. How bad was it? You in the hospital long. Assuming you are not vaccinated. Only reason I’m asking all these questions is I’m right around your age, and in good shape and health, I think, and also am not vaccinated. Neither my wife or myself are. Definitely scared, especially with the new variant they are talking about, but more scared of getting something injected into me that is not fully trialed and tested long term.

I know this is off the original topic, and I hope I don’t get too much s**t for it, but I had to ask. Btw, beautiful car.

One of the finest fighting men I was in the military with died from COVID. We used to joke that the man was indestructible, he would carry his own ruck and help you with yours. I got my vaccine in January. A couple weeks back a man that was being put into the county detention center coughed and spit all in my face then told us he had COVID. And he did indeed have it. Full isolation once inside, the whole thing.
I did NOT get it.
Maybe I’ll mutate next January, but I might get hit by a bus this weekend, and I would have gotten COVID a couple weeks back so….
The immediate threat deserves the fastest response. Speculation on what could potentially happen, and then acting on said speculation?
That’s a tough sell.
Just my $0.02, not trying to make an argument or draw any lines in the sand.
Carry on
