what do your guys' mustangs idle at? mine stays at around 800-900, just curious to see what is normal

idle in nuetral is 1050 in gear 950rpms

Just over 1000 in neutral, and 800-900 in gear.

Any less idle speed in gear, and the engine will stall when I press the brakes and use the power steering at the same time (Making it suck to drive in parking lots).

About 1000rpm out of gear and 750-800 in gear.

1000 out of gear and 800-900 in gear....But I changing over to an auto, so it will change

I run mine at 800...but thats just where I set it at, I also set my idle kinda rough so it rockes the car.....(hehe, looks cool sittin at lights to rock back and forth a bunch)

800 in park or neutral, and 650 or so in gear.

I have a 260 with a 3 speed manual and I have it set to idle at 700rpm in neutral.

Mine must be close to that also! ... lol I love the looks you get when you are stopped and idling... especially from ppl riding in the car! good times! I miss that feeling....

bout 950 in neutral.. bout 750 in gear.. still gotta find a good idle speed with the b cam

1200 out of gear 900 in gear and looking to fix that. my problem is that at anything lower than 900 in gear doesnt charge the bat where can i get a pulley to fix that.
