Post your pics of Mad Maxed, Rat Rodded, Beaters, Apocalyptic Stangs

What are the offset you are using in the rears for those wheels? I only have a couple parts needed to swap my 03 IRS into my Fox. Do you have room for a wider wheel? If yours is an 03/04 where did you find the driveshaft flange to mate up to the pinion flange. I can't find one anywhere.

The rear wheels are 17x9 +35 (6.42 b.s., same as the m179 cobra R). I had to roll the lips alot to get them to fit. You might squeeze a 10" wheel under there with a button head bolt for the rear of the cradle but it would be a custom built wheel. The rear is an '04 unit, you can use an 8.8 pinion flange or the rear yoke off of an Explorer with the right u-joint.

Does this count? Since then I have re shot the hood in flat black. The car was black primer, its faded out to grey now.

Mine shall be joining the ranks of the Mad Max inspired Foxes soon. It's going black (hopefully) in the next few weeks.

Behold, the glory of my abomination....

Damn you and your negative attitude on your car !!!!!!!!!!

Get some nice wheels, some springs, and a paintjob... that car will be SEKSI!!!!!

I gotta dig up the original pic of my Notch, from the Autotrader ad. It was friggin' hideous looking when I first picked it up. I still get a chuckle out of my ex's reaction upon first seeing it:

Her: "You paid $2,000 for THAT?!? "
Me: "B-but ... i-i-it's a notch!"
Her: "You paid ... $2,000 ... for THAT. :nonono: "
Me: "But it's a NOTCH!"
Her: "I'll never understand you."
(This coming from the chick that LITERALLY had over fifty different pairs of shoes, and STILL always whined that she didn't have any "good" shoes to wear to work. :D )

It's all of the little things like that which added up to her becoming my EX. ;)

 Sorry. LOL

Springs? Why? Rims? What kind?

....and thank you for the compliment. :nice:

Is it already lowered? Its kinda hard to tell in that pic. I would just get some bigger rims (17's) in anything but a cobra r, something like this: http://www.americanmuscle.com/17x9-2003-cobra-4lug-chrome.html and tires with a little less sidewall. im not sure if they are or not, but your tires kinda make your rims look like 15"

if i had a side shot of your car and photochop skills, id make ya se what i see out of your car.

Yeah, it's been lowered. My X cut the springs so, yeah, I probably need new springs anyway.

Those are nice rims. Too bad I'll never be able to afford any. :(

Thank you for the info on the wheels. It will be a while before I can buy a set of wheels so I have some time. I found the U-Joint adapter everywhere but not the flange. Thanks for the tip. Was it any particular year explorer?
