Hey guys. I'm new here (obviously) and wanted to shoot some questions through here. I'm in the market for a new car and was looking at the '05 mustang. Right now I have a '99 Ranger and have the funds to get a new mustang but was a little unsure. I'd love to get a '05 GT Black with pretty much every option but I got a few problems. I looked down at my local dealer and they don't have any that I like in stock (I know I'm picky but it's a long term investment). They have like 2 GTs left and there's a green one and a convertible. I HAVE to get it from this specific dealer so I dont know if they could even do a dealer trade. I didn't know if there was time left to get one that I wanted. Also, my dad is the service manager down at the dealership and told me that they're having a HUGE problem with the '05s right now. He said the fuel gauges are messing up and neither the dealership or Ford know how to fix it. They have 15 mustangs in the shop right now and they've done everything they could to fix it. Even people from Ford have come down and the people that manufacture the wiring harnesses (that’s what they think it is). Some people advise me to wait for an '06 and I'm starting to think that may be a good idea. So what I'm really asking is: is it too late to get the '05 that I want and should I wait for a '06? I really want to know what's gonna be different on the 2006's. Thanks for any help.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the dealer has a dark blue GT with white stripes. Premium but Auto. I want standard but....

Thanks for the link, man. I appreciate it, too! 18 inch wheels sound great!

May have to get a set and turn these ones into the winter tires. I really liked those ones on the show car.

The 18" wheels are optional, just like on the 05. I have a late 05 GT, and though I still have less than 1K miles on it, no problems at all so far (knock wood).

BTW, I didn't like the green at first, but it's really grown on me.
