I'm looking at the Roush rims used on the 427. Saw them on a black GT, same as mine, and looked smokin hot!
I don't want the chrome edge as I've seen for sale elsewhere. The Roushs are not quite black which gives it a better look. i've got the 18 inch chrome Bullits on my girl now, will keep them even if I get the P'coats.

Just make sure you use a quality coater, don't settle for some cheap schmuck tryin to make a buck.. The end result will be you doing the job twice and getting frustrated.

The powder coater I use is offering up a new black chrome powder, that looks friggen sweet. He has the product polished and then goes about a translucent black and then the clear.

Not so much a wheel type technique, but he also has the ability to color flake pretty much anything, the flake doesn't show until sun or light hits it directly.

Powder has come a long way over the last few years..

I read a "metallurgist" guessing the long, slow powder-coat oven process might have a deleterious effect on aluminum wheels. I'd hate to have even a tiny wheel failure at speed.

There are quite a few all-black and all-white wheels out there. I wonder how many of them are actual powder-coat, and how many are "powder-coat".

Who and where is this? What does he have to say about the heat question?
