Power cable is smokin!

as Michael would say, fix it fast, you cant let the smoke out!
how did the cables look? they can rot from the inside out. then the additional resistance creates heat. dont start a fire!!
good luck.

cable is all fixed and my car is finally running after 5 months of sitting around waiting me to fix the blown head gasket!! Back on the road again!!!! thanks for everyones help on all the questions I've asked this week!

I think the cable wasn't on correctly and the fact that I was turing over the engine a bunch of times in a row caused it to smoke. After I switched the spark plug wires into the right places and properly connected the battery the beast started up.

Did you replace the smoke that escaped? The system won't work right with an inadequate amount of smoke in it - just like loosing freon from the a/c system. :)

It was funnier when Hissin said it....is funnier really word? I don't think so. Ok, so its not. My bad. Excuse the bad grammer. Work is boring. Remind me to send you your hat!

Whats not funny is when I was ready to start me motor for the first time,I forgot to connect the ground starp!I had stainless fuel and tranny lines so when the strap wasen't there, the lines acted like a ground strap and had current following tough them!
I could see it now, trying to start it then,BOOM!
LOL...
