POWER LOCK HELP!?

I have a 97 Mustang gt. My door locks are on the fritz. They like to lock or unlock once, but after that they seem to loose power. I can hear them trying to activate but it doesn't fully lock. what should i try first. im at a lose, they work sometimes then other times they don't.

thanks in advance !!!

* i just went out and tried it again, they locked and unlocked strong about 8 times then after that they started dieing out, if i were the actuators why would they die out slowly and not just all together?

sounds like the door lock actuaters are bad.

Check your fuse, otherwise it's possable for both locks to go out at the same time. I have seen it, there's a relay for the locks too i bet.

Yepper... Both of mine are out now. I just got a price quote for a used set for $48 per. I would hate to see how much a new set go for.
